Simon: I'm trying to put this as delicately as I can... How do I know you won't kill me in my sleep? Mal: You don't know me, son. So let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh! I just found out this weekend that we're getting an Alamo Drafthouse.

I want Clinton as President and Bernie as whatever Cabinet secretary is in charge of health and human services.

And I need to stop defaulting to Cabinet minister. I am not a subject of the Queen (God save her).

Our wings are not tired.

I want Clinton as President and Bernie as whatever Cabinet secretary is in charge of health and human services.

That would work for me. I like Bernie, but I really want a Dem to be next president and worry he can't carry the general.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'd take Bernie for HHS or Labor (like Robert Reich was) or head of the Consumer Protection Bureau, or Treasury. (Treasury or State?)

Frankly, between them, they'd make a pretty decent President. Although they need to hire Bill McKibben as a national environmental policy advisor.

I don't know how Bernie would do at State, which is more foreign affairs. His strength seems to be making America a better place of the regular people.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Off from work today. Still got up at 6 to take the little guy(well bundled-up- it's cold here) to daycare. Got some prescriptions filled, got a gift card for a friend's birthday and bought a pair of sunglasses.

ltc slept for an hour and a half in the crib! And we all survived.

Laundry done AND basement vacuumed. First time in a long time that's been done(not counting water related vacuuming, though that's why it could go so long without making me crazy.) Trying to decide on what next.

Oh! I just found out this weekend that we're getting an Alamo Drafthouse.

I love our Alamo Drafthouse, though it has ruined me for regular theaters.

Yay, napping ltc. Yay for people who have today off. Boo for those who don't (including me). But go us for digging in anyway.

Politicswise - I want to be both an informed voter and bury my head in the sand until after the election.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

When I was in school our social studies/history teacher would show us a video of the "I Have A Dream" speech every year on the 15th. This year I was happy to hear that my son's 5th grade teacher showed it to her class on Friday, which was of course the 15th.

I need to work today, create a good in-class exercise for my students for tomorrow. Luckily I have coffee and a fridge full of food, so all should be well. Plus Franny is doing her homework beside me while I am doing mine. (Er....)
