There's frost on the cars here the morning, and all the birds look like little puffballs.
The tooth doll thing is terrifying. But maybe good if the kid grows up to be a serial killer due to early trauma (which seems all too likely) and you need a DNA sample. It's the circle of f'd-up-idness.
"Why did you start havesting body parts, Mr. Jones?"
"It started with this doll . . ."
I tried sourdough once but my starter died. I think I might have better luck with a kit.
I remember trying to have a sourdough starter when I was a kid, because they did in Little House on the Prarie books and I was obsessed. However, being a child, I wasn't very good at it.
I do this every year. I think, "Wow, the traffic is really light today." And then about halfway into my commute, I remember that some people get MLK Day off.
Dana is me. Then the resentment when I get to the office and I can park next to the doors because the rest of the company has the day off. Ah, the joy of 24-hour tech support. But hey, today is time and a half on top of holiday pay.
Just 4 miles north of here still had snow on the ground! Just a dusting, but it was still on the roads. County treated the hell out of them.
Errands done (wanted to check out a new to me liquor store. It's huuuuge.)
Had a couple tamales, and now I'll tackle upstairs.
After lunch with dad, I should cook and clean, but really I want to go see Room. Theoretically I can do both, but we'll see!
I'm hearing rumors of a hellacious snowstorm due in the East later this week. My home county (Greene County, southwestern Pennsylvania) is allegedly due for nearly a yard of snow. I'm hoping that's hyperbole.
Can. Not. Wake. Up. I mean, I'm up, but if I closed my eyes for more than 2 seconds, I'd be OUT. Not cool - too much to do today and I have one of my quick Salt Lake trips tomorrow/Wednesday.
Weather's pretty good in Utah this week.
edit: Well, light snow/rain. That's good for January
