Weather's pretty good in Utah this week.

edit: Well, light snow/rain. That's good for January

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm sleepy too, and tomorrow I have a 6:30AM meeting.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

No snow, but it's 1 degree outside. And yet certain parties still insist on their hour at the park.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just checked my work email, because I am dumb like that.

I think they may have forgotten to tell the attorneys the firm is closed today.

I have a Dr appointment soonish, and then need to pick up a prescription and go to Trader Joe's, so I guess I am going to actually put on outside pants.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am annoyed at work- my student worker had her IT account terminated while she was abroad-- what irritates me is the central university IT asked me if she should be terminated, I said no, and our in house IT told them they should not ask me anymore, they should ask them. So now she is terminated, and I have to get her set up again.

Our wings are not tired.

We have a cold front too! It was in the mid 50s when I got up this morning. I didn't bother to close the windows. I'm thinking of it as free air conditioning.

Only one of my client practices is closed today that I know of, but they are a pretty large group. Other than that it is quite a typical Monday. Already exhausted.

MLK used to be allocated as a "floating holiday" ie you got the holiday day but could take it at your convenience. I'm glad we've switched to standard holiday off because that was a little too second-class-holiday for me.

I do still wish that instead of schools being off they would use the day for MLK/civil rights related programming.

Upstairs clean. Trying to decide if I want to refinish this stepstool or not.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It's 22F here right now, and we had snow last night. So, TCG spent the morning of his day off shoveling and salting the driveway so that our new garage door could be installed.

I spent an hour in ltc's room reorganizing things while trying to convince her to nap in her crib. She finally fell asleep, and I got quite a bit done. Double win! I culled a bunch of things she doesn't fit into anymore, and sadly generated several bags of laundry of mostly new stuff that I need to do at some point.

MLK day is the only national holiday where students are off and staff does not have a paid holiday. It is sort of weird- I mean obviously we don't get all of Christmas break or anything, but it would be nice to have today.
