Wow, I just got a UPS delivery at 1 am on a Sunday morning. (Well, I guess it was UPS, someone knocked on my door and then left a package in front of it before I could get a robe on.)

Matt, was it from Amazon? We have random deliveries even very late of Amazon packages. Usually it's someone in a broken-ish down car and they just rap on the door, drop the package and leave. Especially for same day deliveries.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

It is kind of a lot of work, and takes a surpassing quantity of fruit/glass, when I squeeze my own.

Yeah, from what I've seen a surprising amount of fruit and veg goes into it. My co-op in college had a juicer and we'd make a lot of carrot and apple juice. Anyhoo the juice I had today was lemon, apple, carrot, beet, and ginger and it was really tasty. They have one with fennel, lemon, ginger, cucumber, and cider vinegar that I want to try.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have had packages from both Target and Amazon show up at some point between midnight and 7:00 am, even on the weekend. I think it is the new thing.

Also, Amazon won't let me buy the tamarind balls I want except as an add on item. It's annoying.

I've had a USPS contracted delivery dropped off at 6 am by a nonUSPS vehicle. All very odd. But you know what's weirder? My brother sometimes gets multiple USPS mail deliveries a day! And on Sunday! Mainly in the holiday season, but he says they often get Sunday mail. Bama's weird.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

JZ, I feel you on the cleaning. We spent all day reorganizing ltc's stuff in her teeny nursery so that we can actually transition her into there to sleep. How does she already have this much stuff?

Yikes! I follow that blog, but I hadn't seen that post yet.

See, I thought Elf on the Shelf was creepy, but practicing voodoo on your own children? What is this world coming to?

We have an Elf on the Shelf that we were given as a gift when ltc was born. We have no idea what to do with it because both TCG and I are too creeped out by it to actually use it.

you can make your own starter using wild yeast

There's a microbrewery in our neighborhood that only brews using wild yeast or bacteria: [link]

MORE THAN A LITTLE, YES.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Cool, Tep. One of my local-ish microbreweries has some wild yeast offerings, but doing only that takes some guts.

And those juices sound yummy, Burrell! Full of healthful benefits, I'm sure.

Dinner was delicious but a bit too much food. Butterbean, broccoli, and bacon soup to start, an entree of risotto and beignets to finish when, really, just the soup would have been a perfectly adequate meal. Ah well, I can sit here and digest for a while, I don't really need to move around much...

I'm disappointed they don't capture the wild yeast by riding horses around and yelling "Yeehaw!" while lassoing microscopic creatures.
