Jayne: That's a good idea. Good idea. Tell us where the stuff's at so I can shoot you. Mal: Point of interest? Offering to shoot us might not work so well as an incentive as you might imagine.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys, have you heard about these people who want to "retire" at 33? I used to work with her!! WTF. [link]

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

She reads sort of nuts, Jesse. Was she like that IRL?

I'll be working up til the day before my funeral. I have money put aside, but I just don't see retirement happening.

I'm home alone this evening. It has been a laugh riot. I have painted my nails, nuked some dinner, and shopped online. I'm sitting on the floor topless cause I spilled dinner on my shirt and decided to just pop it in the washer before the stain could set. Next up, hang some pictures and rearrange some others.

Tomorrow K-Bug and I are going to the Stock Show and Rodeo.

Not like that! But I didn't know her well.

Always Anti-fascist!

I don't think I have an expensive life, but EVERY ONE of my bills for December was more than theirs.(How do you get internet for $55? Let me guess, they don't have a TV, because it's corrupting and creates wants that are never satisfied...) Which may all be true, but if I didn't have a way to get outside my narrow reality, I'd be using all my savings on my legal defense fund!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Yeah, there are times on the internet where I'm like Football or Game of Thrones. They are both bloody, but one has bigger words. but I don't follow either

I remember one night there was a hockey playoff game AND Game of Thrones on at the same time (more or less), and my FB feed was littered with posts that read things like "Noooooo!!!" or "WHY JUST WHY???", etc. And for the life of me, I had no idea which posts were related to hockey and which were Game of Thrones.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hahah, that's awesome.

Tonight's football was wildness.

If it's not hockey or tennis, I generally have no idea what's going on. In Chicago, I kinda knew when baseball was in season because I needed to avoid being near Wrigley Field when the Cubs were playing.

Speaking of tennis, the Australian Open starts tomorrow.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I finally finally got a go-bag together for my earthquake kit. The food in it consists of some nuts & dried fruit, and a handful of Kind bars. There's several days of dog food in it, though. And clothes, in case I have to run out of the house in my pyjamas.

Visited with Dad today, fought with Verizon again -- this time, the third time I've tried to cancel his cell phone plan, they finally told me that I need to bring him physically to a store to confirm his identity. WTF, Verizon, you suck. He's 88, and it's getting increasingly difficult to do that sort of thing.

Now I am trying to catch up on Orphan Black and letting my dough rise. I think this bread will have me up late, I started it at 7PM. Woops.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Ugh. Housecleaning is at that depressing stage where there's really nothing else to be done without serious culling and purging, which results in lots and lots of work with very little visible result. I am, at least, finding a bunch of stuff that I'd thought was lost forever, but it's hard not to get discouraged at the sheer magnitude of the mess and the lack of progress.
