Good point, amych. There was a brief moment, before he was governor IIRC, but not, I think, as far back as high school, when he seemed like a reasonable guy who I could hope would be good for the state. Oh well.
Sophia, you probably need the rest!
Come to think of it, I think maybe I have successfully fought off the cold/whatever that was threatening yesterday - breathing freely this morning. Hot and sour soup ftw! And I only had about a cup, I'll have the rest for lunch today (or maybe lunch and dinner depending on how hungry I am at lunch time...)
Charlie Rose seems to be talking about Obama's SOTU in the context of Hamilton and George Washington's last SOTU. So far, no one has said "Everyone shall sit under their own vine and fig tree."
I should really listen to Hamilton so I know what you guts are talking about, huh?
Also, I have a vine, want a fig tree.
I wouldn't mind a fig ....

Timelies all!
I'm at home since the little guy had his 6 month checkup. Wow, 6 months. How time flies...
Nothing like getting called on unprompted by your Director.....
(and my god, I really can't resist being a smartass. But it's all good!)
The meeting I thought I was running late for isn't until 11, whew!
I love greens which is helpful for when I am trying to eat better. What I really love is when I remember to make and pack a big mixed greens salad for lunch. 3 cups of greens, with tomato and dressing and I'm sitting at under 150 calories.

I just had a smoothie with 2 cups of spinach, a cup of frozen berries, and milk. I feel so healthy! And it's a sneaky/easy way to get greens in for me.

How is it your staff green lights a ticket for someone like Ms. Davis and you don't know about it? Although I will give it to her people, someone is making sure she stays on everybody's radar.
