Well today has sucked so far. On the good side I did get my deadline project done before noon. Then I crawled in bed to take a nap. Couldn't sleep. Started shivering, so CJ brought me extra blankets. That didn't help, so we added a leggings, heavy socks, and a heating pad to the mix (oh for a heated mattress pad). My fingers went numb as I slowly warmed up and finally they went back to normal. I'm finally under just one blanket and shiver free. But now I can hear my eyes blink. Which goes nicely with my dry mouth.
I have looked up the side effects of Lyrica and all of this fits. Not fun but I'm not dying of some strange affliction. At least, signs point to the Lyrica. Doctor in just over an hour though I'm not sure what she can do.
Sorry for the whining. I scared CJ with the noon-stop shivering and K-Bug is at work. I had to share with someone.
That sounds terrible, Suzi!
Oh, Suzi! I really hope for a rapid resolution.
At the doc. 101.1 fever on Aleve. Waiting for the results of a flu swab. If that is positive, at least it is early enough to treat. Oh, add in major dehydration thanks to the fever. Joy.
Something fixable is always good.
Timelies all!
Something easily treatable~ma for you Suzi.
Yes, Connie.
So, not officially the flu but my doc is pretty certain it is just so early. She said tomorrow will likely be worse and if it is, then she will call in flu meds.
Basically I need to quarantine myself for a couple of days, which kinda screws up some plans. I'm supposed to give new volunteer training Saturday.
I'm glad you went to the doctor, Suzi. Bummer about needing to wait on meds for it to get worse, but fingers crossed that either way you don't suffer too long with this.
Aw, man, Suzi! Glad you are getting it figured out early and hope the meds work fast.
