You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Thanks Suzi!

I LOVE Mary Chapin Carpenter, although I haven't listened to her for years. She was one of my favorites of that 90's time when everything was female singer songwriters. I miss that time.

I need a winter boot recommendation. I think the LL Bean Shearling boot is probably the best solution, but they are on back order AND are over $200.

1. I have a wide toe, narrow heel and ankle, and wide calf 2. I walk a lot, so I really want to feel like my feet aren't encased by cotton wool. 3. It is cold and snowy where I am most of the time, so they need to be warm and tall(since I don't wear trousers). 4. Mostly, I would like them to somewho fit my toe AND my heel! Not sure this is possible because of the aforementioned fan shaped feet, but the walking in boots is driving me crazy- has anyone ever had a heel insert of some sort?

hip deep in pie

In much more minor complaints, it is not fair that my cold is barely getting better and now I have cramps! I think this is the last straw, and I'm going to look into an IUD, even though I just stocked up on tampons.

In a similar place, but hormonal headache instead of cramps. PLUS, they are drilling concrete about 30 feet from my cube. Do Not Want!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Is the IUD OK for those of us over 40 (I am thinking yes because I am pretty sure Suzi is)?

Oh yeah, my doctor asked me if I was interested at my last appointment.

And Gud, I actually knew and was just funning you. Because of course the default definition of shark week is about menstruation!!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

My hormones have become the weirdest things. Week before period, super productive and great mood. First days of period falling asleep all day. Week after period annoyed super easy and want to cry in an instant.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

That's why I got mine -- the birth control pill can be dangerous in women over 35, particularly in terms of heart disease. Since my dad's family is chock full of heart disease, I didn't want to go down that route, so I got the IUD.

The Mirena is the one with low levels of hormones, and it can make your period disappear (which is AWESOME). The copper IUD can make periods heavier, but it has no hormones.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have the Mirena and LOVE IT! My IUD loves carrots.

I'm trying to work cause I have a deadline but I'm about to send an email adjusting their expectation. I couldn't sleep last night so maybe I can sleep now?

Things that help when making coffee: adding coffee grounds to the machine. Yeah, when I looked over I was like "why is my coffee so pale? It's like just water...oh"

brillig

Menopause has been glorious (why isn't it called menostop? Oh, yeah, because of the stealth visitors that have kept me from throwing out all those supplies just yet).

And I know about Shark Week on Discovery as well. I just hang out a lot on Ravelry, and the blood in the water has a different source.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am finally having my coffee. I didn't feel like making my own decaf and I figure I could use the caffeine, as sluggish as I feel today, so I went to fill my cup from the office coffeemaker. It's got two carafes, one for the double-strength coffee and one for the regular. The regular carafe was sitting on the upper burner, which was turned off, not completely cooled off but not hot, and holding, as it turned out, not quite a full cup of coffee. So I ended up with a lukewarm not full cup of coffee and still had to make coffee so the next person who wants some won't be out of luck.

I'd say I shoulda stayed home today, but I considered and decided I had to come in because (and I know this is stupid) I had left my water bottle on my desk yesterday and I couldn't face a full day at home without it.

Gud, I don't know to implement your advice in a practical way re: Shark Week. Does that mean I should spend every day sitting on the couch watching as much TV as possible?
