Look, you got a little stabbed the other day. That's bound to make anyone a mite ornery.

Oh Suzi, I'm so sorry. Do you normally have flare ups this time of year?

Headed to the gym. Then work. Then home. Bah.

Timelies. I slept like crap. Shocking. Not feeling as dizzy this morning, just very...fuzzy headed...if that makes any sense. Still going to call my doc.

Kat, this was my first trigeminal neuralgia flare up to break through the meds I've been taking.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Definitely call the doc, Suzi!

In much more minor complaints, it is not fair that my cold is barely getting better and now I have cramps! I think this is the last straw, and I'm going to look into an IUD, even though I just stocked up on tampons.

Cramps and mess? No, thank you.

Chocolate and wine?

y'all know I'm talking about Discovery Channel's shark week, right?

Jesse - my IUD changed my life for the better. I still grumble that I didn't get one earlier. No regular period, just an occasional reminder. Mood swings are gone, cramps are gone, ruining underwear is over.

Thirty minutes until I can call...open, open, open.

Shark Week

But the quote comes from Tracy Jordan on 30 Rock.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Is the IUD OK for those of us over 40 (I am thinking yes because I am pretty sure Suzi is)? I am so sick of my period! I have had it since I was 9! That's a lot of years and cramps. Plus with the week of cramps heading into my period, the week of my period, and the week of my ovulation, I have like, one good week a month!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have always thought (I assume because someone must have told me) that Mary Chapin Carpenter was Harry Chapin's daughter. Turns out, she's only his FIFTH cousin. That's barely related at all! My worldview is shattered.

Yep, I'm almost 48. When I first talked about it with my doc, she so sweetly said that while the IUD needs to be replaced every 5 years, I may hit full menopause before I need a replacement.

Doctor's appointment secured for 2:45. She asked if I felt safe so I told her I had CJ to mind me during the day and drive me to the appt. I need a darned minder.
