I should have seen so many movies this vacation! In the theater, I mean.

First showing at my nearest theater is 10:30, which is late enough that I could easily get caught up in doing something else and miss it. but maybe I can keep it in mind long enough to actually get there. I find movie schedules surprisingly awkward
Well, that was weird. I just got a call, when I picked up the voice on the other end said "speak Russian?" and I said no and then there was silence for a while and they hung up.
Looks like I'm gonna have to drive to swim today. Pool is closed due to chemical imbalance...shocker!!
Otoh, that'll put me back up near the stores I bailed on going to this morning, so I guess I'll hit them on the way back...
-t, have you tried Noosa Yoghurt's pumpkin? I'm not a pumpkin person, but DAMN it's good. We had testers of it at a race and it was so amazing and irresistible.
So I was Not Up To the movies, but in good news, on the way home, I was thinking what I really need is hot and sour soup, but I couldn't think of a Chinese place to go, so I was going to go to the Thai place for Tom kha gai, but when I got there, there's a Chinese place next door! So now I have hot and sour soup.
I have not, Kat, I'll have to look for that! I'm just getting back into yogurt, too, so that'd be swell.
Hooray, hot and sour soup!
I didn't make it to the movies, either. I've spent most of the day with a heating pad on my neck and shoulder. It's not even so much that it hurts a lot (it hurts, not a lot, either way) when I don't as it keep feeling like it'll feel so much better if I just give it a little more time with the heat. And as those muscles relax I doze off. So, not getting much of anything done.
It's probably just as well? I do love a heating pad.
It's pretty pleasant. I"ll get something done tomorrow, probably.
Well, swim was great and fast, but attempt to get shelving was a bust. I coulda sworn I saw them there, but I've been in so damn many HomeDespots and Lowes in the past few weeks, I can't be sure it wasn't in Birmingham.
My 8 year old nephew is officially holding the overall record lap time in the junior division at the indoor (really popular) go kart track. To put in perspective, it's within 3 seconds of the adult record, whose cars have more power and can go faster.
This one definitely got his dad's racing bug.
Oh, and it happened Sunday, when we all went. Kid is a SERIOUS driver. But he still gave a fist pump crossing the finish line ahead of everyone. The flag guy and another staff came over and were kinda amazed at his times and can't wait until they can get him into the adult cars..5 years from now.
