I watched hockey, and both teams I wanted to win did so. Go teams! I'm still drinking Bulleit rye and reading Yuletide. I've been listening to classical music and soundtracks without vocals while reading. Out of Africa is on now.
Probably not making it to midnight in this time zone.
Blessings on you all for the happiest, healthiest and most prosperous 2016, beyond your greatest imagination!
I got my New Year's Steve on.
This makes me stupid happy!
Though I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well, Steph...who I am certain is actually asleep right now.
I began cleaning and organizing at around 6pm yesterday. I finished at 11:58pm today...with one hour of sleep.
Believe it or not, I enjoyed every minute of it.
Still more to do in the first day of the new year...but I met my goal of not one bit of rubbish (I had to quick toss a sponge out the window. Yeah, I know, stupid superstition but, but, I MADE it!
No undone laundry.
Now, I have GOT to sleep.
Sweet dreams to those at rest and plenty of WOOTWOOT to those celebrating.
Much, much love.
I'm chilling at home reading a book and making some last minute 2015 donations to animal rescues, because. I'd be in bed but I promised I'd stay up for a call at midnight. THEN I will be in bed.
Also just flipped on the Chi-town Rising thing. Where the band Chicago is playing Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? So that's not corny at all, Chicago. @@
Yay! Happy Central time zone new year's!
So far I like this new year thing. It's all fresh and shiny.
Okay, now Chelsea Dagger and Sweet Home Chicago. Much better.
I just finished rewatching
The Cabin in the Woods.
Somehow the end of the world via "giant evil gods" seemed appropriate.
I stayed home tonight, mostly because I'm worried about the new dog and the fireworks. Tried to binge on Jessica Jones, but it's too grim a note to end the year on. So now I'm watching an old Stargate SG-1 episode. Jack O'Neill makes every evening better.
