So far I like this new year thing. It's all fresh and shiny.
Okay, now Chelsea Dagger and Sweet Home Chicago. Much better.
I just finished rewatching The Cabin in the Woods. Somehow the end of the world via "giant evil gods" seemed appropriate.
Happy New Year, Central!
I stayed home tonight, mostly because I'm worried about the new dog and the fireworks. Tried to binge on Jessica Jones, but it's too grim a note to end the year on. So now I'm watching an old Stargate SG-1 episode. Jack O'Neill makes every evening better.
Happy New Year! I just got home from The Force Awakens. I do not regret this choice. There was a preview for Civil War, so I got a little bit of New Year's Steve.
Does anyone else think Daisy Ridley could be Hayley Atwell's little sister?
God, I love, LOVE SG-1.
I need a rewatching.
Now, I'm wishing I had a New Year's Steve.
DH wants to make Hot Toddies, which neither of us have ever had.
Oooh, they're not hard to make. We have them all the time.
I use Yogi Ginger Tea as a base, then brandy (or whiskey or whatever dark liquor you've got), honey, lemon, ginger, cinnamon stick if I'm in the mood etc.
Since I too am With Cold I should probably have one now.
I got JZ and Matilda an Avengers (Steed/Peel) box set and we're introducing Matilda to Eccentric English Menace.
I hadn't intended to go out tonight, but the fine dining place down the street tempted me with Moroccan harissa lamb chops and ratatouille. So I got dressed up and spent a couple of hours eating and talking to people I'd never met before.
My cats have apparently forgotten that hey spent several months foraging through garbage for food, and turned their noses up at the gourmet lamb scraps/bones I brought home for them.
