I was minimally productive today: did what needed, work-wise, but none of the "end of year let me clean off my computer" type stuff.

I don't really need glasses or contacts...maybe glasses but I'd probably need a new prescription. I did a search in mint and didn't find any appropriate charges I could request from my doctor--I think I maybe only went for regular care? Can I still buy non rx things and have it be fsa-ok? I could stock up on Sudafed or vitamins...

Also, cooked my first blue apron order tonight! I was not super impressed--catfish with cheese grits and collard greens. But seriously needed about three times as much greens and a quarter of the grits. SO MUCH GRITS.

Not really, at least not for vitamins or Sudafed. First aid, contact lens solution, and random assorted items are okay for FSA. You can go to Walgreens and do a search of their FSA items to get a better idea.

Your insurance website probably has a list of approved expenses.

Yay Hamilton tickets, Lee! Sounds like a great birthday plan.

I like the second web design better, Gud. It gets the contents front and center faster.

Travel~ma, shrift.

I got a decent amount of work done today. I was working from home, but it was a good day for it--both in tasks and in non-travel friendly weather (flooding and whatnot).

After work I tried to scan in receipts for my HSA and ended up dealing with printer tech problems for three hours. I succeeded, eventually, but not before cursing and eating cake for dinner. Eh, I have wine, a cat on my lap, and Ancient Aliens on tv now, so all's well etc.

Nope. I'm waiting to board, still. But my flight still claims to be on time.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

If you can get your doctor to prescribe OTC drugs and vitamins, you should be able to get reimbursed for them, but you will have to jump through paperwork hoops.

www.fsastore.com is also helpful in terms of this information.

And yes, I did buy lots of bandaids from there this morning.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My FSA year doesn't have to be the calendar year, right? I'm 90% sure it's Oct 1, but everyone has me scared!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Gah. I think I still have some money left in my HSA. Time to refill some prescriptions...

I'm back to the gym after FINALLY taking some rest to let an injured hip heal rather than constantly re-injuring it. Good lord, I've lost a lot of ground in just a handful of weeks. I have to keep reminding myself that once I'm back at things for a couple of weeks, I'll feel more like my old self again.

(The hip injury was sustained in avoiding a fall - a doormat shot out from under my foot, and I essentially did a one-legged squat with massive torque to keep from smacking my head on concrete.)

I worked today. didn't finish everything I really should before year end, but oh well.

My library seems to have a puny ebook selection.

So glad my HSA is the rollover kind. When I had a FSA, didn't use it because outside dentistry, don't have any predictable expenses.

Today I acquired and assembled a 3 cubby bench and drawers to put at the foot of the bed and got all the shit off my window bench. [link] Had too many socks and rags I like to keep handy for cleanup just piled up there. Thought I had another cloth drawer, but no, so will get one tomorrow. I'm gonna fill it with seasonal PJs instead of rooting through the overfilled milk crates in the closet. Those will hold the unseasonal PJs.

Covered it with the quilt my grandma made for me as a baby.
