Sorry for the multi-post (vs. multi-pass).

Hey Gud, I can't remember, are you a mac guy? I'm struggling with whether or not to invest in new mac mini (my preference) or an imac. I don't like the -all in one- thingies, but I'm worried the mini isn't powerful enough...and might soon be discontinued.

Any thoughts, other mac people? I need to decide by tomorrow for the tax deduction.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have a mac mini which replaced another mac mini, which was a sturdy workhorse with very few issues ever. It's plenty powerful enough for my needs.

It's sort of like a Volvo. Sturdy built and will run and run.

I can't tell if that's actual "about to" or "so help me god, I will if I have to", but good luck.

Both? Probably both.

I had a very short window in between getting the call that my flight to Chicago was cancelled and being able to get on a Chicago-bound train. Since they couldn't rebook me on a flight today, I bought the penultimate train ticket. My flight to San Francisco still says it's still scheduled for this evening, so I should have plenty of time to get to O'Hare from Union Station. I'm told I'll get a refund for the connecting flight. Maybe that will put a dent in the money I'm paying for the train and a cab.

The Amtrak wifi is terrible, but I'm making good progress on the work I needed to get done this week, so I shouldn't have to take another vacation day due to travel shenanigans.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Bonny, I would wait at least a month before buying a new Mac mini, as the current models haven't been updated in over a year, and it's likely they'll be updated soon (and the current models will be sold at discount).

Definitely the second theme, Gud.

My psychiatrist's unforgiving scale showed I lost 6 lbs. since my last visit. So, progress, just not as quick as I'd like. But not bad for being a lazy lump and mostly attempting to lose weight via lots of salads and soup.

Well, I made it to Chicago and I'm in a cab to O'Hare! Now all that remains is whether my San Francisco flight departs tonight.

Hey Gud, I can't remember, are you a mac guy?

I use a Mac for work, but I don't own any. I use Linux on a custom built computer at home mostly. My work Macbook Pro is really nice but you aren't looking for laptop and I suspect it's pretty spendy.

Thanks for the comments on the website everyone. I've also played around with a theme that uses a full browser image and it's kinda nifty, but I'm uneasy about full browser images for the home page. (Warning, there is zero real content.)

Very nice, Gud! I'm not 100% sold on the mixture of Adobe Calson Pro and Monserrat, but it's a minor quibble.
