I'm connecting via O'Hare, so your tornadic weather reports are making me nervous.

Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
It's already 62 here. High expected to be in the low 70s. Apparently, there have already been tornado warnings elsewhere in the state. A big chunk of thunderstorms should be hitting soon. Just the usual xmassy weather. When D was born in Tx, it was thundery with tornado warnings and hail. Just keeping up with tradition.
They're saying it might get up into the 70s here ... and I saw forsythia and iris blooming last week.
And I found this amusing. (WARNING: cockroach-related)
Yeah, it might get to 70 here tomorrow. Which is ridiculous!! Mostly I don't want to shave my legs, but luckily, I have ita in my head telling me that 60s is very clearly tights weather.
It's supposed to be a high in the mid-50s here, with another storm coming through tonight so who knows what tomorrow will be like.
Today's already shaping up to be a great day. I got paid, got a Christmas bonus, and the cat hair-hiding sofa slipcovers I've been waiting forever for finally showed up as in stock!
We don't get Christmas bonuses. We get a "Happy Holidays" email from our boss that reminds us to monitor our email while we're out of the office.
I apologize for laughing, Zen. So not funny.
My job would be great if everyone weren't insane.
We get product leftover from the outlet sale. This year, a three-piece serveware set for everyone. Last year, asparagus steamer. Whatever there's a lot of. It's more a gift from the Department Director than a bonus, but that's about as close as it gets.
The only place I've gotten something called a Christmas bonus was Adventure Sports where the owner liked to personally hand us a check on Christmas Eve. Which was a little odd for me just because it isn't something I'm used to, but kinda felt right because it was retail and we all worked really hard in December.
