Oh Pix. I am so extremely sorry about the cat. So very sorry.

Ugh. Also, the loaning money for repairs seems overwhelming.

The status is NOT quo.

Thanks, Kat and everyone else who’s offered support and good wishes -- I’m sorry I’m all MEMEMEME right now and not much interacting with other posts. I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed by the whole situation. And yeah, loaning money is the best of a lot of bad options. We are still hoping it won't come to that and she will be able to get a line of credit by next week.

Wilson almost definitely has polyps in his nasal cavity (potentially ear drum) that will need to be surgically removed; the MRI will determine where and how serious the surgery will be.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh Pix! Big hugs to you and Drew. This all sucks so much. I'm sure your landlord is terribly upset too. I know you have a long history there. I am so sorry that all this is piled on you guys.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh Pix. Best wishes for Wilson, and for a successful resolution.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh man, what a mess.

Sue, glad you're feeling better! A stomach bug is the worst.

We went caroling at my father's nursing home today, which was nice, although the singing was really for shit! Anyway, we were going to leave at 9:45, I went to bed at 11ish, woke up and it was... 9:25! YIKES! I was actually showered and breakfasted and ready to go by 9:50, which I think is pretty impressive.

Went to Target and more or less finished Christmas shopping, and now I'm doing my nails in front of the TV.

That's a horrid pile of awful, pix.

Waiting for my flight to board. Forgot one book I meant as a gift, but it turns out I can get it in B'ham, just without the autograph.

Aaand still waiting for a crew.

If this kid who clearly marinated in cologne sits anywhere near me, we're gonna have a problem.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Pix and Drew, "horrid pile of awful" is an apt description. Sorry for you guys and Wilson and all your other animals. What a mess.

msbelle, insent.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I'm so sorry, Pix and Drew! When they opened up the walls in our bathroom they found a lot of mold and ended up ripping the whole thing out, which added $6k to the costs of reno. Do you have a separate tub and shower? Have your landlord ask them if they can stagger the demo. For us, they demo-ed the shower and left the tub, so we took showers with a handheld thing in the tub. Not ideal, and it's kind of creepy to shower in a torn-up room with a hole in the floor you can see through to the crawlspace, but it's doable. Needs must when you only have one bathroom.
