If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

An hour is totally reasonable.

Costco has a six foot cat tree for about that much. ETA - okay, probably not that big. But maybe 5.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm looking at previous Ask a Manager entries, and someone wrote in whose company played an April Fool's Day prank on the employees and told them they'd have to come in and work unscheduled overtime that night and the next day.

I hate so, so many people.

does anyone have a specific recommendation for anything that costs $50-$75?

I got a window ledge thing for my cats that they love. They get the high ground on the dog AND they can bathe in the direct sunlight from the window. Bonus, it doesn't take up floor space.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I have decided that a sourdough cheeseburger will help me feel better.

Eta: And a diet cherry-vanilla Coke.

brillig

The sun is out and drying the roads! Yay! There can be three feet of snow in my yard, but I don't care if the roads are clear.

I swore I wouldn't buy a house with a north-facing driveway. And yet where do I live? The other side of the cul-de-sac is all nice and clear, my side is a MESS.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That was the WOOOORST!

I got a window ledge thing for my cats that they love.

Yeah, I saw some of those. Maybe I'll do that.

Or maybe I'm going to get three of these, because they make me laugh! [link]

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The window ledge cat thing is great! I need to put Pixie's back up. I figure cardboard cat houses/posts/whatever are a good call because (a)cats love cardboard boxes and (b) you can toss it in with the recycling when they get tired of it or destroy it.
