In unpleasant things cats left on the floor this morning bingo, one of mine flung some poo out of their (covered) litterbox and batted it toward the kitchen in a spray of loose litter. Meanwhile, their sparkly foil toys for just that purpose sit untouched over by the windows.

The last-minute meeting with my previous manager turned out to be fine. I'm getting a small merit raise and he told me about my bonus for the last year. I probably would've realized it would be a compensation talk since it's end of year if I'd been less stressed, but hey.

My boss had told me to do the minimum when it came to the year end self-eval since there is no budget for our time spent on it and such. Then I get a message from him to bulk mine up more and to forward any kudos cause he wants to get me a good bump. It all feels like such a game.
