I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Cats, man.

Severance Snape is cracking me up.(I also drive a Corolla! My other car is a bicycle, I guess, but I don't have a bumper sticker to that effect. Not, as far as I know, a Slytherin bicycle, but how would i know?)

Not supposed to be at work. At work. Getting double pay does not make it worth it.

A couple more tasks then I am out and maybe I go see a movie.

You could call it Severance Snape.

Pleeeeeease name your new car Severance Snape, Steph!

The last-minute meeting with my previous manager turned out to be fine. I'm getting a small merit raise and he told me about my bonus for the last year. I probably would've realized it would be a compensation talk since it's end of year if I'd been less stressed, but hey.

My boss had told me to do the minimum when it came to the year end self-eval since there is no budget for our time spent on it and such. Then I get a message from him to bulk mine up more and to forward any kudos cause he wants to get me a good bump. It all feels like such a game.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Not supposed to be at work. At work. Getting double pay does not make it worth it.

I'm at work even though I'm on vacation, and I'm not getting double pay either. Someone who knows I'm on vacation just asked me to do something for her. grump whine And of course I did it. My only comfort is that my boss is also "on vacation", and I've been getting emails from her all morning, so she's working too. Next year, I swear, I'm not waiting until December to take all my vacation days in a lump lest I lose them. (I make this vow every December, you know.)

It all feels like such a game.

It's all such a BS game.

But! I have a good job, and a nice new floor, and I've started losing weight again, and I'm going to see Star Wars Friday with a bunch of cool folks and it's free, and I'm going to London with my BF in a couple weeks, and life is pretty good. So. Gratitude not grumpiness.

Ah, crap, I've got to finish the Christmas stuff today.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Maybe this is weird, but I've been keeping an eye out for Ginger's obit. Looks like it was published today.

Thanks Dana. I'm glad to see Mr. Peabody and Buffy were both mentioned.
