I am in the game so far! Not trying, but lucky.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I was LBDd while out holiday shopping with Dad last night. AND Carol of the Bells, which I possibly hate more thanks to years of choir.
And the relative has just told me I need to learn from the Creation Museum.
I saw that and did in fact start laughing. At that point, she loses all credibility.
ION, it is 55 degrees here (on December 10!), so I just took a long walk. It didn't help my mood, but it was super nice to be outside.
I'm still in the game! Amazingly, I'm still in the game after 3 holiday parties in the last 3 days.
Also, I'm getting sick of parties, with more to come. (And these here diamond shoes are feeling a little snug.)
I got LDBd last night, but it was totally worth it.
Edited because I meant Little Drummer Boy, not Little Black Dress.
Timelies all!
Ugh. Monday I discovered that there was something wrong with the washing machine. The dial won't progress. If I turn the machine off and move the dial, I can get the other parts of the cycle to work.(well, at least the spin cycle.) Of course we're approaching the "Need to wash things" stage with a few things. Bleah.
Also, my cell phone won't turn on. First I noticed that the battery was draining faster than usual, and had a couple calls abruptly ended . Now, I plug the charger into it and it won't start up.
I'm so frustrated with myself right now. I stopped karate when we moved and haven't picked up another physical activity. As such, I've gained weight and while I have always been heavy, I was comfortable in my skin. Right now, I'm not. Just walked a couple of blocks to the mailbox and back and I'm wheezing. So, I need to be better about my diet and get more walking in, at a minimum, but without sparking my lungs. Which is not so easy in the winter. I hate feeling like a blob.
I can't with the rest of this, so:
I do not understand the lbd hate. 12 days is the real enemy holiday song.
I am with Jilli!

Singing alto? That's why I hate Carol of the Bells -- when we sang it in high school, I had to sing alto, so when I hear the song, I can only hear the one-note alto line. Booooo.
About 8-9 months ago, I started something called "The Capybara Procedure". The procedure is that whenever an online friend reads a hateful talkback or is engaged with a kind of discussion that leads to severe headdesking with a possible injury, they must publicly post a picture of a capybara and cc me on it.
I forgot to mention, this is great!
At this point, she loses all credibility.
Yeah, I find the Creation Museum twice as ridiculous as Anciet Aliens, but only half as funny. [ht to Stoppard]
Singing alto?
Ha, no. The altos always had my sympathy for that song, but I was soprano. So we never got to breathe, and had to worry about sounding shrill on those top notes.
My singing voice has deteriorated SO much. I need to find some good vocal exercise apps. I won't get back to my original soprano range, but breath control and staying in key when singing along with stuff would be nice.
