Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Here's a quick fact sheet on shingles and chicken pox: link

I hope it's not shingles, Sparky, but even more I hope that if it is your body responds like flea's and the worst is over soon.

Ah, facts! Nice.

I feel like I am not accomplishing anything today. Oh well, going to lunch, maybe I'll do better this afternoon.

Anyone looking for pet insurance, think twice before going with Banfield. The people in the pet hospitals are nice, but dear god, the system you have to deal with to manage it. I wanted to make sure it didn't renew, so I called their number. Billing was able to find the account, but I had to talk to Cancellation, who couldn't find the account, so they sent me back to Billing to find every possible ID number associated with the account so they could send me back to Cancellation so I could tell them not to renew.

I know it's no faire judgement of quality of care, but a badly organized back office setup doesn't impress me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Scalia's wikipedia page currently reads:

...an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States and a notable racist.

In terms of vet care, they've been great for our pets. But we don't have pet insurance through them.

If/when I get another pet, I'll look over the fine print a lot closer.

Yup, shingles. I have the super fun presentation, too, around my eye, so I get to see that doctor, too, as that is the first concern. I am not having any problems with my eye, now.

DH's aunt thinks he did have chicken pox, so maybe we are okay there!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I had shingles a few years ago, but a relatively mild case blister-wise. They did put me on Valtrex, but not right away, because I didn't go in right away. The rash was on my face and at first it was just itchy, but then it started to lump up and sting. Off to the doctor, who said "shingles!" So fortunately, I didn't blister as bad as some of my friends who have had it, but the skin on my entire left arm, despite the lack of blisters, still stung like it was on fire. Oh! One thing they don't mention in the article is that shingles in hemispherical: right side or left side, but not both at the same time. So, it was all the left side of my face, neck and left arm.

edited because I really do know my left from my right.

I'm sorry, Sparky. That's how my dad had it, near the eye, so he had to see the ophthalmologist for what seemed like a long time to make sure everything is okay. Hoping for no involvement for your optic whatevers! And that the treatment is easy and effective.
