'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm taking a break at the Winchester Public Library, my Ubering having taken me hither and yon today.

My Mom's experience with hospice was very good, so I can hope Ginger is in such good and wise hands, and that she'll get to rally and get to see Mr. Peabody again.

(Also, if dog adoption falls through, I'm quite willing to give him a good try.)

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Sparky, all good thoughts to you and your staff. I'm continually less and less impressed by my former school.

Amy, I hope you get some relief soon. I've been sending you healing thoughts since you first posted. I'm sorry they haven't worked.

Thank you all. We go in at 1:30 mountain time, and I get on a plane right after.

Compassionately intolerant

Sparky, I'm vibing hard for your best possible outcome. Bureaucracy blows.

Good luck, Maria. I can't imagine your pitch being anything but powerful and persuasive.

amy, all the 'we're on it' energy possible for your care team.

JZ, I hope, at the end of the day you can say that it went more smoothly than you expected.

As for me, I'm wandering around with a cup of tea, waiting for a meeting to start and thinking about the incredible stress I'm under right now. The middle of the year was so GOOD. Today, not so much.

Sock pulling up, indeed.

Not javachik

I need a "like" button for all the supportive and soothing things other people said better than I could.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Extra socks and spoons and hugs for everyone. Sounds like we can all use them.

I have about 7 hours of work to do, and I'm dreading every minute of it.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Vibing for you, Sparky, I meant to say. My memory is not the greatest rn.

Surgery pushed up to 3:30 tomorrow. Which means I have to reorganize a million things, but that' good.

Hoping so much that Ginger can feel all of our love surrounding her.

I should say, the contract issues here won't be solved for months. Until then, the 8 of us will be pawns, so I will be stewing in this mess for a while. I appreciate you all trying to help me keep my socks up.

Best of presentations, Maria.

meara - Dec 07, 2015 5:23:53 am PST #10642 of 30003

Kick ass, Maria!!

Good luck Amy--I hope either they can do it sooner or you can get some pain relief!! (ETA: yay!)

And Sparky, that sounds awful! Why would he refuse to sign the contracts, that just sounds assholic.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

This is kinda crazy, but if anyone needs a place to be for Christmas, I have a spare room and we have no plans. Things will be low key and maybe not so festive, but I have a tree and a safe place with others.
