Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just kidding, Dana - it's Regular Wednesday.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The in-laws are not stopping by tonight like I thought they might be, so today is pajama Tuesday with a teething baby. Buffista parents, can teething cause more spitting up? ltc isn't showing any other signs of being ill, but she has spit up more the last couple of days than normal.

brillig

Over on Ravelry I got into a cooperative fic thing that got put on Ao3, and boy howdy, do I hate doing the co-author thing with someone I barely know. So I bowed out gracefully and left it to her to do what she liked with it, and she decided to let it go to. I was amazed at the amount of resentment and petty pissiness co-authoring brought out of me. "My story line! I wanted to write that bit! You continued the scene in a way I wasn't going to Hiss spit!" Those are all my reactions, we never spent a moment on coordination or anything, but it's good I bailed before I flounced in public.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Can we make Wino Wednesday a thing?

Frances had to make up a holiday for homework, so she made Fan Day, where everyone gets to celebrate their fandoms and everyone is nice about it. It went over well in class, but lost in popularity to Netflix Day. She was philosophical about it. I suggested that really one could celebrate them both at once.

Never thought I'd send an episode of Pop Culture Happy Hour to HR at my job, but Trevor Noah talked so specifically and correctly about hiring for diversity, I just had to! Interesting. The whole thing is here: [link]

Oo, marked for later. After GRADING, egad! will it never end?! There isn't enough punctuation for me to express my annoyance

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Coffee update: I brought in my coffee today! But I haven't made any yet. And I just might not today - I'm doing a cleanse and I slept so badly last night, maybe I need a day of no caffeine (even from decaf)? It's not too late to change my mind, though.

Yes we can!

I love Fan Day, so inclusive! Netflix Day is also nice, although I celebrate that pretty often, really. I guess i kind of celebrate Fan Day pretty often, too, but I would like everyone else to also.

Wino Wednesday sounds like an excellent plan to me, let's get it going.

Or couldn't we just skip ahead and screw giving Tuesday and make it Tea and Pajamas Tuesday or something?

her if she's just wants to meet for coffee, just friends, OK, but if she's unsure if she should get back together with other girl yet another time that you'd prefer if she worked that out on her own.

Excellent plan.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I have downloaded that episode of Pop Culture Happy Hour to listen to on planes.

I fly back to SF tonight. I turned the crappy wifi on at my parents' house to check work email since I'm not arriving home until after midnight and I have an 8:30am meeting tomorrow. Found out who my new manager will be just now and I'm cautiously pleased. I've worked with him before and he's very WYSIWYG.

If my passport hasn't been stolen from my apartment building, I'll be flying to India on Sunday. I'm probably very prepared, but I don't feel like it.

When my time hasn't been commandeered by small children, I've mostly been sleeping a lot, reading a lot, and sipping scotch, so that's been nice.

That does sound nice, especially as your near future plans are wearing me out just reading. Good, but a lot.

OK, I have my outlet training in bit, I think that does call for coffee.
