I love Fan Day, so inclusive! Netflix Day is also nice, although I celebrate that pretty often, really. I guess i kind of celebrate Fan Day pretty often, too, but I would like everyone else to also.

Wino Wednesday sounds like an excellent plan to me, let's get it going.

I have downloaded that episode of Pop Culture Happy Hour to listen to on planes.

I fly back to SF tonight. I turned the crappy wifi on at my parents' house to check work email since I'm not arriving home until after midnight and I have an 8:30am meeting tomorrow. Found out who my new manager will be just now and I'm cautiously pleased. I've worked with him before and he's very WYSIWYG.

If my passport hasn't been stolen from my apartment building, I'll be flying to India on Sunday. I'm probably very prepared, but I don't feel like it.

When my time hasn't been commandeered by small children, I've mostly been sleeping a lot, reading a lot, and sipping scotch, so that's been nice.

That does sound nice, especially as your near future plans are wearing me out just reading. Good, but a lot.

OK, I have my outlet training in bit, I think that does call for coffee.

And I just had to use A LOT of willpower not to say "Nothing is fucked" to my coworkers (I opened my overhead cabinet thing and my coffee grinder fell onto a teacup, but nothing broke and nothing spilled, it's all good. Which would have been more appropriate to say, but "nothing is fucked" is what was on the tip of my tongue)

Could I have lasted another 3 hrs at work? Maybe. But I didn't want to. Lying down now and everyone who was all hurry up, hurry up....and then didn't respond to my requests can just wait themselves now.

Sounds like a good vacation, shrift. And I'm sure you are prepared for India, but ooh! exciting!

For reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I've been watching episodes of old game shows on YouTube. I've found a few that I forgot existed, like Nick Arcade and Shop 'til You Drop.

But I have this memory of one that I can't find, where people would need to search rooms for some specific object. The internet insists that it's Finders Keepers, which is the right time period and ought to be what I'm looking for. But it isn't what I remember. It might even be a show with adults rather than kids.

Does that ring any bells for anyone?
