Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Today in Heated Rivalry news: Paul Gross as Roger Crowell might be my favorite S2 casting announcement yet. Such an iconicly Canadian choice, I love it.

It's actually been a really hard year, when you stop and do the math. Eliot would cry, too, if it didn't take him seventy minutes of therapy, two cocktails, and a Sondheim medley before he can experience a human emotion through the haze of his PTSD.

Paul Gross as Roger Crowell

Oh shit, really? That's kind of perfect.

I am a little bit concerned about my ability to dislike Paul Gross the amount that Crowell deserves, but also delighted he will be on my screen at all.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I saw that on Tumblr! He looks so good.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Anyone else watching Ted Lasso?

I've enjoyed this season, its good but not magical. This latest one though, when Ted and Alice were sitting side-by-side on the couch, however, made the entire season worth existing.

Where do you come from? Where do you go? What is your scene, baby? We just gotta know.

You mean today’s episode?

They drop on Wednesday. As I have zero self-control, I watch them at midnight.

"Somewhere in this building is our talent." Toby Ziegler, my spirit animal

Matt Perry's sister should be very proud of "The One About Matthew Perry", though, as with many docs, I have notes about the ending. Even though I haven't watched it yet. But the big Showrunner in the Sky can be wicked harsh, even if you don't accept Perry's own conviction that he made some kind of Twilight Zone devil's bargain thing. Some people think it's all chemicals and that he could have messed up as an actor and drank to cope with a dream deferred. Or he could have been like the social-studies teacher some of my friends had where they learned that they could write, like, half the paper on Reconstruction and just enough random thoughts to have enough grafs..I think he might have found that funny, too. Or maybe the fact that that pissed me off, Jeanie Bueller-style because I always got the teachers that made me do all the work.(Chandler voice) At least that paid off.(/Chandler) I wonder what he would have thought about the fact that, to this day, I can't have gum without hearing his voice in my head.Sometimes it sounds like mine, too, though.
