Over the summer I hope to find him an ADD therapist/coach.
That can be really helpful. You're a good mom, Suzi.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

BUNNIES: [link]
They are apparently a New Zealand White and Lionhead cross and seem very sweet so far.
It's official, I got too much sun today. Thought I was being careful. Apparently, I can sunburn through that t-shirt. At least I had a tank on under it for the morning?
And yay happy couple getting married!
They bring on the smiles, so I had to share. They are on a roller derby team and have a zillion friends so I have been enjoying lots of pictures posted from friends and family yesterday and today. Weddings are awesome. They seemed to be in minimal panic in the preceding days which was good. It truly worked out that it was yesterday and not today. They had horrible weather for an outdoor ceremony today, including tornado in Nebraska! They did say it was crazy windy on the bridge.
Bunnies! Beautiful!
I like yard work in theory, but in practice I have always sucked at it.
I am the obverse. I hate yard work in the abstract (hot, sweaty work that needs to be kept up all year long), but whenever I force myself to do it, I get immersed and find it oddly satisfying.
Not that I do enough of it, because I hate yard work, at least in the abstract.
Bunnies are crazy cute.
Aaaaannd, I need to get back to grading. Ugh. Grading.
I have to share how thankful I am that KCD married B. She has been a great support for both my kids and I can talk with her about my concerns and get great feedback. I talk to him and get reminded of why I asked for the divorce. Both kids are going through some rough stuff right now and between B and I, we are working to help each as best as possible. How many people get so lucky with the second wife?
I am not into yard work at all--probably partly because I'm not good at it but also the whole "it requires constant upkeep". Though I suppose laundry is the same principle --weeds AND dirty clothes just keep coming! But I am very glad to (a) have a landscaper dude and (b) have made most of my yard into a patio, and most of the rest of it into bark-covered or gravel-covered no-plants areas.
So, anyone have a link for a semi-reputable online self-test thingie for ADHD? I should probably finally take a look at it.
Jilli, you could start here: [link].
Anyone else take this quiz yet? I'm curious what the average score is. [I got a 35.]
I got a 30, but I wasn't really sure how to answer some of the questions. I kinda figure MOST people could say "sometimes" or "often" about most of those questions. And who DOESN"T have trouble paying attention to a boring task, or buckling down to do something unfun?
...that said, I do think the internet has destroyed my powers of concentration. But not sure how much is that and how much is attempting to not be forgetful. I tend to be doing eight different things at once on my work computer because if I don't start that email as soon as I realize I need to send it, I'll forget, and if I don't also have the travel department tab up I'll forget I needed to book that trip, etc etc. I try to open tabs to what I"ll need to be working on even if it's not right this second, so I don't look at my open browser and go "why did I need this open again?"
