For lentils - lots of tomato. lots of salt if you are not watching your sodium. carrots. I'm surprised at the Garam Masal not spicing them up. I like to add enough green curry powder to lentils to burn my tongue and that seems to make them quite tasty.
Might be the garam masala is old and dull. The lemon helped some. I'm considering whether a dollop of yogurt on top might help as well.
Next time I'll try some tomato.
Anyway, most of it's in the freezer, and I'll eat the unfrozen part for lunches this week. Health food, yay. (sigh)
Now watching New Girl, and I love that Prince has decided to make this his funny phase.
It's a good choice! I am in favor of Prince continuing to be funny on my TV.
Baltimore City police helicopters are disrupting my Sherlock broadcast.
That was the most cracked-out episode EVER.
Unrelatedly, Bruno Mars did a fantastic halftime show. I expected it to blow, but it was great. His band had kind of a Chippendale's dancers thing going on a little bit, didn't they?
I usually don't watch the halftime shows at all, and I only halfway watched this one, but Bruno Mars certainly seems delightful from what I did see.
Does Punxutawney Phil predict for the whole country? Seems like that would be a more region specific job.
Oh my god, total James Brown action going on there. t edit Bruno Mars, not Punxatawny Phil. t /end edit I was really impressed. They just killed it. And I laughed at the Chili Peppers being shirtless in 40-degree rainy weather outdoors in New Jersey. Because Chili Peppers.
Because Chili Peppers, indeed.
OK, I can't stay awake for Downton much less Sherlock. Thanks once again, DVR, for your faithful service.
