Our wings are not tired

My cousins in Belfast were actually watching the game live today and all invested in it. I think they are better Americans than I am.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Have folks seen the clueless British guy explaining American football?

Football is a game based on “taking other people’s land by force."

ETA: oops. I was thinking of a different clueless British guy video.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This is why I never cook with lentils, because it always comes out blah.

I feel like lentils need a fair amount of salt, but you could try adding acid?

Now watching New Girl, and I love that Prince has decided to make this his funny phase.

Oooh, maybe some lemon? I did add extra garlic and salt, and then threw in some spinach and cilantro. So now it has some greens and a little crunch. But lemon might help. Thanks!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm always kind of surprised when I have lentils and like them, because cooking them at home doesn't seem to work out for me, but I do often like them at restaurants or when my mom feeds them to me (can't remember if the last lentil dish I had was something she made or something she had bought somewhere and had a lot of leftovers. Or what it was. Besides tastier than I expected.)

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I use lemon rind a lot as a condiment often . It perks up a lot of bland dishes

For lentils - lots of tomato. lots of salt if you are not watching your sodium. carrots. I'm surprised at the Garam Masal not spicing them up. I like to add enough green curry powder to lentils to burn my tongue and that seems to make them quite tasty.

Might be the garam masala is old and dull. The lemon helped some. I'm considering whether a dollop of yogurt on top might help as well.

Next time I'll try some tomato.

Anyway, most of it's in the freezer, and I'll eat the unfrozen part for lunches this week. Health food, yay. (sigh)
