I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm getting annoyed at these little thefts at work. First my iPhone charger, then my brand new derby cap and neck gater, and after cleaning the greenhouse, I realized that the giant tillandsia was missing. Which I bought.

And I continue to miss old control-freak boss lady. Miss her terribly.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I knew Target knew Everything about everyone who shops there, why not CVS? I bought the gel inserts in part because of chat about them here, btw. They haven't changed my life, I'm not in love with them, but I have reached the point where I regret it if I don't put them in my shoes. Calibrate your expectations accordingly.

That bites that stuff of yours is disappearing, Juliebird.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think I'm going to get them for my vacation, since I'm not bringing sneakers....

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm trying to think about who is new to having access to things in my office, and it's only new boss lady and the cleaning crew. And NBL showed up a few days later charging her iPhone, and the cleaning crew wasn't in when my winter gear went missing. The greenhouse is always unlocked, and this has been the first theft if plants in six years (we're more likely to get unwanted donations) so I shouldn't be surprised that that particular shoe finally dropped. I feel petty of whom I suspect about the other two instances, considering my level of loathing for this woman. I actually deliberately did the thing where I accused someone obliquely of the theft so that I could find it in the freezer and feel like an ass. Except that doesn't work when you know you're doing it. And my lovely earflapped derby cap was not in my freezer.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would be pissed if my stuff was getting stolen from work.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

ION, my niece just got accepted into grad school! So exciting! She's going for a Masters in public history.

Zen, is she by any chance going to a state university in the middle of Tennessee? M teaches at a school with, as I understand it, one of the only public history grad programs in the country, and knowing your family's TN roots, I'm wondering if that's where she'll be going. Which would be cool!

I'm pissed, but I'm also resigned. In a "wtf can I do?" sort of way.

Did a preliminary run on my taxes, and we owe $101 to the Feds, because Hubby isn't getting anything pulled from his disability benefits. I guess I'd better start an independent IRA, but I can't afford to divert too much money. Anyone know the formula for amount deposited to tax benefit?

Our wings are not tired

I'm still waiting on one of my W-2s

I think I have three or four of my tax documents so far. I need to do a full check but I usually have between 15 and 30 of them in a year. I rarely get them all before the middle of February.

I don't want to contemplate the complexity of your taxes, ND.
