I do enjoy my grandboss. I was just in talking to my boss, and he came in to say something to her officemate, shut the door, and opened with "Holy fuck, what was that??" Hee.
This everyone-shares-an-office thing is so weird, though. We close the door for confidential conversations, but there are often still unrelated people in the room!
SuziQ, you may have all my foot-ma, since I've been cleared to wear regular shoes. Hope it works as well for you as it did for me.
Wooooo-hooooo Theo!!! Regular shoes must be so nice. I look at my shoes and sigh.
I had a knock on my door and thought it was the person with the cold therapy machine (and with this weather, why - I could just stick my foot in the snow) but it was three people here to measure just about everything in my apartment. Since they are renovating my apartment after I move out, they wanted to measure the counters, cabinets, and window blinds since those will be part of the renovation. I was only embarassed about letting them into CJ's room. Luckily the rest of the house is in clean chaos mode.
More snow and ice hit Birmingham than expected. My nephews are stuck at school because the buses can't run, SIL is on the side of the road (not sure if she was trying to get them or out for a site visit) and my brother is stuck downtown at work. Clusterfuck.
I should call my parents to see how they're doing. The blower motor on their furnace blew up on Saturday and they don't expect the new one to show up before tomorrow.
Remember how kids all think we're all ancient? Just posted by a FB friend of mine from her kid: "Mom, were you born in the 1900's or the 1800's? Were you born before the Revolution or after?"
Were you born before the Revolution or after?
BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Which revolution, I wonder?
Darned kids.
CJ has been bemoaning how old he is. He is older than the Harry Potter series was last night's discovery. He turns 18 this summer and I think he is not ready to hit that milestone. I tell him he isn't an official adult until he graduates highschool next year.
I tell mac that despite what society says, he is not an official adult until his brain fully develops at 25 or so. Still he will be old enough to have lots and lots of responsibilities.
