Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Remember how kids all think we're all ancient? Just posted by a FB friend of mine from her kid: "Mom, were you born in the 1900's or the 1800's? Were you born before the Revolution or after?"

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Were you born before the Revolution or after?

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Which revolution, I wonder?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Darned kids.

CJ has been bemoaning how old he is. He is older than the Harry Potter series was last night's discovery. He turns 18 this summer and I think he is not ready to hit that milestone. I tell him he isn't an official adult until he graduates highschool next year.

I tell mac that despite what society says, he is not an official adult until his brain fully develops at 25 or so. Still he will be old enough to have lots and lots of responsibilities.

So I am in a CRABBY mood. Partially contributed to my lack of food yet today. Partially contributed to my TIREDNESS. Partially contributed my disdain for people at work.

#3 is what I can control the easiest honestly and I am trying to keep in mind that this is just a job and I get really decent pay and yadda yadda yadda. Boss knows I am kinda done with feeling dumped on (reality is that everyone is dumped on, we have too much work and not enough people), so he invited me to lunch today. I gripe internal (and sometimes externally) about the lunch thing, because it is just unfair, but what people do not get is - I don't want to GO to lunch with them, I just want my lunch to be paid for also. See every time they go out for lunch, they put it on the company. But I do not want to spend an hour of my time with them socially. good God. So I asked if he just bring me back something since I was getting so much done. Fuzzy will be here shortly. YAY!

Because books.

Lunch is a good thing. I was in a serious funk and then S. brought me beef and broccoli, and now I'm less ... funky.

Who's Fuzzy, though?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Can you do it halfsies?

I quickly made a chickpea burger and turned off my webcam during the meeting so nobody had to watch me chew.

My next meeting isn't for a few hours, so now I can run the dishwasher since it won't be wooshing in the background when I unmute.

Who's Fuzzy, though?

Well, I haven't shaved my legs in a while, but I'm not sure it deserves capitalization.
