And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ugh - a bedbug was found in Dylan's classroom, so I guess I'm off to Bobby's (local Target knock-off) to buy plastic bins to hold his coat and backpack so they don't come in the house. (This is the second bug the school has found; the first was in the 3-4th grade classroom. Two bugs does not an infestation make, but still, ugh. Fortunately I am highly allergic to bedbug bites so if any come home to our house, I will know immediately because I will be breaking out in itchy red welts all over.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

If it's up firmly enough that shower steam doesn't bring it down, it'll be a pain to change when you do want it down.

As I learned last weekend!

information libertarian

My father's previous house had a half bathroom off the kitchen with black porcelain and black flocked wallpaper with panthers. With silvery eyes. They watched you while you peed.

When he got around to changing it, he went with baby blue painted walls. Which went okay with the black toilet, I guess, but it's still weird to pee in a black toilet. (Why did he not change out the toilet? Well, he is pretty cheap, or maybe he liked it?)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A family I babysat for after college had a red downstairs half bath that I have always coveted. It looked like a bordello! But it's the downstairs half bath, so who cares? My dream in life is a downstairs half bath.

Panthers in the bathroom? That definitely sounds creepy.

Any plans I had of getting anything done today have been derailed. I went to bed at like 10PM last night, woke up around 6:30AM with a headache, took meds, woke up around 8:30, took other meds, got up around 10, ate some breakfast, still felt awful, went back to bed at 11AM. Am up now just before 1PM, but think I might still go back to bed. I hate being sick!!!

Luckily there isn't anything super important I need to do today. But it's still annoying to lose a day!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My grandmother's guest bathroom (maybe half bath? The one right by the front door) had black and gold flocked wallpaper and gold fixtures. IT always seemed totally glamourous and fancy to me.

When DH and I went to Graceland, a lot of the decor kind of reminded me of my Grampa's taste.

One load of laundry completely done and put away; one more each in the washer and dryer, running; quiche in the oven (my idea was to layer that roasted broccoli soup with custard and cheddar, but the soup DOES NOT float on cream, so, well, we'll just see. Also, I did not make enough pie crust to hold all the ingredients, but I think it will stay in the pan while it bakes? I hope.); dishes are holding steady with about the same volume still needing to be washed, but since I am adding dishes with the cooking I think that's a win.

Next up, Hollandaise sauce, I guess. Hm, so may things to coo, not sure what order would be best. The one oven is full of quiche for the next hour and half at least, but I have two ovens...

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hey, Cowgirl, I liked some of these a lot: [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

With such a tiny room, and the black and white tiles on the lower half of the walls, I'm actually thinking pretty seriously about pink walls. Like this! [link]

I do like that.

OK, sausage "muffins" waiting for oven #2 to preheat. And hummingbird nectar mixed up because I noticed I was low. Definitely time for a break.
