I went for a run this AM but my running app shut down 3/4 of the way through, so I won't get full credit for the run, woe.
aurelia, further on the Reynaud's thing: I took an Advil Sinus yesterday, because I thought I was coming down with a cold. Those have Sudafed in them. Today I ran outside in chilly weather, and right now my fingers are cold & stiff and a little numb. This is the first time it's happened since last spring. Experimental data!
I have to think of something to do with my dad today, and I kind of don't have any ideas. Bah.
I'm feeling impressed by all of you! And saddened by the lack of coffee. I got some while waiting for the doctor (this urgent care is across the street from the best coffee shop). And I totally sympathize with the running app thing, Consuela! Hate that.
It's so hard to strategize before coffee, but sometimes it needs doing.
This is why I have so many coffee making devices.
I do have my big coffee maker, but if I make that much coffee, I will drink it, and I am trying not to do that.
Luckily, I think the dishwasher just ended.
I'm still under the weather with my second cold in two months. Right now my entire brain seems to be oozing into mucus. No human sinuses could produce this much snot.
The majority of the garage has been sorted. CJ and K-bug have been "on their way" here for about an hour and I want to go run errands, including that pedicure. Instead I'm on the couch, resting my foot, wishing I had an inhaler and drink near me.
So, as I suspected, I like the same-level local chain (Tasty Burger) better than Shake Shack now! They did give me free hot chocolate, but I could not get a seat, which is obviously bullshit.
Man, I was all set to go for a run and thought "I'll just clear up that thing were my playlist thinks it can't play Prince real quick"...hour and a half later I have maybe kludged the problem into submission (buy buying two more copies of the song I particularly want, stupid but if it's effective, fine) but I am angry and tired and maybe wanting to just eat lunch instead.
When the house next door was for sale, I imagined it would be bought by a handsome Prince Charming who liked cats. It was instead bought by a married couple with dogs. But! Her dad is a friendly handyman who is right now at Lowe's figuring out how much my new porch fence and gate will cost. Finally! I've been trying to find someone to do it for four years. This is better than Prince Charming.
All this is to make sure my escapee cat doesn't get away if he gets out again.
That's pretty good luck, neighbor-wise!
I really need to call the window guys and get this draft taken care of. I'm in my living room now wearing double layers of everything and a lap blanket and I'm still cold! And I know the heat is working because I can hear the radiators.
