That's pretty good luck, neighbor-wise!

Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I really need to call the window guys and get this draft taken care of. I'm in my living room now wearing double layers of everything and a lap blanket and I'm still cold! And I know the heat is working because I can hear the radiators.
We spent an hour shoveling out our driveway and sidewalk, although not all that time was actual shoveling. Some of it was talking with the neighbors and cheering for the plow guy who plowed the street, and then throwing snowballs at each other.
My children are driving me nuts. They still haven't made it to my place. I'm glad I didn't wait for them. I've dropped cookies off at the dojo, picked up my prescriptions, and am mid-pedicure. I may treat myself to a movie after this as I kinda want to avoid confronting them when they do show up.
I've been working hard this last week to get rid of stuff that doesn't need to move. I'm trying to get as much done before Thursday as possible. CJ hasn't done a thing and I haven't pushed cause I'm going to be dependent on his help post surgery. K-Bug is moving next weekend and between school, work, and moving, she won't be able to help me at all post surgery. I just asked for help today moving a couch. And that is now a struggle and I don't have the spoons.
Sorry for the rant. I hate asking for help as it is. But when I do and you agree.... Grrrrr.
I woke this morning from a dream that Phillip Seymour Hoffman needed dimmable fluorescent fixtures from me and I was out of them because of the two shows I have going on.
Experimental data!
Good to know, Consuela. That just reaffirms my approach to cold medicine. I only take it at night so I can get uninterrupted sleep and let my sinuses/lungs/whatever do what they will during the day.
I had a dream this morning where apparently Lee, Allyson, and I were roommates, because all we were talking about was grocery shopping. Exciting!
I almost didn't go to the liquor store on my way home, because I thought my (semi) friend's husband would be working, but I realized that was ridiculous and went anyway, and he wasn't there! So that's good. And now I have wine.
My roommate said she'd pick up some stuff for me when she went to the store in the "morning". I think I'm going to go out, mucus and all, and pick up the stuff I actually really do need. Harumph.
Pulled myself together enough to make a salad for lunch, watched the Colbert Book Club, and went for my run. And the song I wanted came up on shuffle and played no problem, so yay for inelegant fixes.
That's week 3 of my zombie training complete! Feels good. I might even look for a 5K to sign up for.

I had a dream last night that John Barrowman was doing my laundry. No, seriously. I can't even get my subconscious to get on that.
Heh. Except for Phil (it's been a couple of years since he was around), my dream was very reflective of my work week.
I find myself completely out of milk, eggs and bread. I can't figure out if that makes me a winter storm failure or cliche.
