Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet

So mum wanted a rasta hat for Christmas, but I didn't find that out until too late (and wasted too much time in every department store and the two Gondwana's near their house searching for something remotely similar. Earflap hunters caps are the new thing now, it seems).
So I found this

But it seems to be all in charcoal grey, and I want variety (or at least burgundy), and a certainty that the hat has volume when not stuffed full of dreds.
That's disappointing, Tep! I mean, we all know the guy is going to propose, but the waiting around can get tedious.
I got home and my husband had gotten a buzzcut
At least he waited until after the interviews? Yeah, I got nothing.
I was mildly grumpy today, but mostly industrious. The only other person on my team at work today told me that I was the last person left in the office on his way out the door at 5. So I went home.
I had to order a new monitor because mine was dying, and now that I've set it all up? Jesus, suddenly everything's bright and I can SEE.
I'm pretty sure I'm one Kate Hudson away from the plot of a bad movie.
There needs to be way more madcap shenanigans -- in addition to the Kate Hudson. Did you by chance cut one finger off your glove in case he did it outside? If not, I think you're good.
There's at least a couple more good holidays before the " hey, so are we gonna get married or what?!" convo seems necessary. Worked for me!
I was just mentioning to someone the other day about how much more interesting Kate Hudson was in Glee than in bad romantic movies.
Which is to say, I guess, that Teppy should star in Glee.

HOLY SHIT I AM TOTALLY DOING THIS. (Because, according to Movie Logic, then he will propose.)

I may do this less.

If you are thinking about doing this, I learned from reading etiquette books that the done thing is to cut slits into the sides of the finger. I think they were talking about kid gloves, but it should still work for keeping-your-hands-warm gloves.
I vote yes on the yellow slipcover, despite the perfectly reasonable arguments against.

Hah. And the Glee thing could only help--the show, that is. Because it has seriously sucked lately.
I hear ya, though--I was talking with a friend last night about the girl I've been seeing, and after confessing a number of issues of "OMG, why can't I just ask this but it's SO HARD", he was like "Wow, I feel like a really bad friend because I've known you for four years, and I had no idea you were insecure at all!" Which, HAH. Of course I am. But...yeah. Dating/relationships/etc are HARD. Even if just in your own paranoid/crazy/overthinking head. Boo.
Aw, Steph. Being one Kate Hudson away is still at least ONE away.
