Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I had everything that's left in the fridge lunch: sauteed onions and mushrooms and garlic, browned pine nuts, bunch of spinach, shredded cheddar, little bit of almond milk, hard boiled eggs.

The SO has grocered again, so we're good now.

And we're going to a Christmas Eve Eve party tonight. So I'm baking oopsidoodles.

My Holiday so far has been minor suckage. Friday had an all day migraine. The Saturday pulled a muscle or something - major thigh and hip pain which I've gradually been getting under control with walking and stretching.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, that's no fun, Typo.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ouch, Typo! I hope that gets better.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I got to sleep in again this morning (the demon dog has been remarkably well-behaved!), walked the dogs, picked up my folks' mail at the old place, met a friend at the gym for a satisfying couple of hours climbing, came home for a late lunch and just got up from a long nap. Now I will drink tea and make pies, and maybe a gingerbread cake. And then at midnight I will go to the airport and pick up my oldest niece, whose flight has been delayed and rerouted, poor thing.

I have some wrapping to do, too, but since I have tomorrow off I'm being lazy. And I suppose I should call my folks to check in.

And yes, poor Cash, I hope the drugs keep working and/or the stone passes quickly. It's a lousy thing to happen during the holidays.

Second that, Cash. Kidney stones are miserable so I hope the drugs work until it passes and that it passes quickly.
