I wouldn't wear blue nail polish to a job interview, myself.

I can't find a blue nail polish I like.
I realize this was not supposed to be the takeaway from this conversation, but I have my limits.
Anyway, msbelle, after hearing more about your workplace in person, I have EVEN MOR sympathy for what you're dealing with. Sucks, man.
I never wore blue nail polish to a job interview when I was looking.
I had my yearly review it was mostly good news. Mostly.
Basically my manager only had good stuff to say, but I would have liked to get a point higher on a rating, but my manager said she couldn't get it for me.
(((msbelle))) I hope something better works out.
No blue nail polish to interviews. Noted. Not that I have worn any nail polish at all in quite a while, but that could change at any time.
Hang in there, msbelle!
msbelle, I'm sorry you're having such a tough time.
flea, good luck with the interview!
As I "learned" at work just the other day, working with foundations is more like dating with an eye on marriage, while corporate sponsors are more like one-night stands.
I love this metaphor. Or maybe I just want to have a one-night stand with it.
I had a super long lunch today with a new friend and it was awesome. We talked for like two and a half hours. Yay new friends!
You people may have noticed that I am super conservative when it comes to dressing for an interview.
Hey Hec, JZ, you should send that picture of Lil Ozma to NPR! [link]
If flea makes her metaphor about how grant writing is like a one night stand, I bet they would sit up and listen.
OMG, that would be hilarious. But probably inappropriate.
The blue nail polish thing is cracking me up, because a while back on Corporette there was a whole thing about someone who came to an interview with one blue nail, and should that be held against her, with people arguing various sides (maybe she forgot, why is it important, vs who does that, it's an interview fer cryin' out loud). I do lean for super conservative for interviews, though. At least for corporate type positions.
