That was a wonderful obit. And a really great watch, too. I'm trying to remember which friend of mine it was that couldn't wear metallic watchbands at all because of severe allergy. She found a couple Swatch bands that were all plastic and plastic-backed watch body, but there were so few it was a real problem.

Sara, it's 5:16 and I'm awake due to elderly dog having a tick on her ear. Chile is very good at coming to me and staring at me while I'm asleep when vile creatures are sucking her blood. Always the same intense stare that bores through me even when I'm asleep and having Harry Potter dreams. She knows I'll wake up enough to put a hand on her ears and rub and that's ALWAYS when I find the suckers. They're never very engorged because they're half dead from her Frontline, but I'm sure their presence is damned annoying nevertheless.
So I'm with you in pets-owning-us-in-the-wee-hours solidarity!
msbelle, so glad you're having a blast!!
"Obama, Soros, and the gaggle of leftist globalist pull some type of monetary switch to crash the U.S. stock market. Our economy then implodes in a matter of days, if not hours; and Obama, with his martial law executive order in hand steps up to his teleprompter and beams to every home in America his call for “temporary” martial law.
Really, it seems so obvious when you put it that way! How could we have been so blind????
[eta: And as an aside, I love how "Obama's teleprompter" has become this incredibly sinister THING that deserves its own mention every time a tea bagger opens his mouth. BEWARE THE TELEPROMPTER! IT CONTAINS SPEEEEEEEEECHESSSSS!!!!!!!]
Happy birthday Tommyrot!
Belated Happy Birthday, tommyrot!
Yay for no cancer, meara!
Well, because clearly he was only waiting for his SECOND term to do that. No sense in starting before you have to win an election. ....wait a second....
I am on a bus to the airport. Omg it is early. But in several more hours, sunshine and Brenda!
I honestly don't understand the Comic Sans hatred. Used for the purpose it was intended to, it's a good solution.
Sunshine and brenda and no cancer! That's a good day, meara.
Words I didn't need to know: nasolabial.

Well, the problem is that people don't use it where it was intended. And actually, the article that Jess linked to galls me a little, because if the designer copied actual comic book lettering, he did a really bad job of it. There are other comic book fonts that look MUCH better than comic sans.
Not looking that one up Amy. I get enough of an idea from the word alone.
We had surprise snow this morning. Not a lot but enough to be a where the heck did that come from. The weather needs to act right so I can fly out tomorrow.
Happy Belated, Tommy.
One of my cousins in Florida is a full on conspiracy theorist. Thankfully I only hear about it through other family members who scoff at the theories.
