The Elizabethans were rich and made no bones about showing it off.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm sure the vast majority of the Elizabethans, like the vast majority of the people of any era, were not rich.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Dillo knows what's up.

And I'm pretty sure no reminder would help that nurse, except one an hour before she needs to leave. And she should really stop pushing bullshit on you, for reals. I hope there is another nurse that works Sundays .

I filed my taxes today. Mine are still pretty straighforward, and it's gotten easier since I have nested labels by year for all my tax records in Gmail.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I sent her a test text, and managed to get in a "this is easier for me" before she could finish saying it didn't work for her once she called back. I don't care if she doesn't know how to text, she has a week to work out how to tell her phone has messages. If that doesn't work, plan B will be interesting. And if there are issues still stressing me in two weeks, I will try and get the gumption up to change things.

Too reminiscent of work life, where you can get criticised if you don't work out how to get colleagues to do their own jobs. What are the colleagues being criticised for, I wonder.

And my cable connection is haemorrhaging channels. Looks like I'll be downloading the normal block of Sy Fy shows I watch Mondays, if there are new eps. That station disappeared while I was watching it.

IO9 kvetching has reached the Activist Bitch Cabal point, with extra "I am much better for the community than those elitist ass-kissers with posting privileges" sauce.

I have nested labels by year for all my tax records in Gmail.

Emailed tax records? What sort of records?

Low bar!

Uh, all my charitable contributions, all the tax forms from my banks, all my efile info. I think the only paper statements I get now are my W-2s and maybe some miscellaneous retirement forms. But like I said, my taxes are fairly simple.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Christ, I hate that the bar is so low that I'm gonna roll with it (or is that my inability to stand up for myself winning?)

Well, historically, the bar seems to be that low. It's not that you aren't trying to stand up for yourself but the medical system is playing whack-an-ita ! and these are the options you currently have in front of you.

If you can manage through with her until the home visits become how you are normally treated, then try to get a different nurse. It's just that you have a pretty small window for treatment and a terrible record of things like ER visits.

I wish there were a way to just treat your pain easily and effectively and without drama. The nurse shouldn't be acting this way. She can have her beliefs but she's not in charge of your treatment plans, just the actual treating. Her less than medical ideas are not something you should have to even listen to but outright crossing her might get notes in your file that won't help you in the long run.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

A nurse ought to know that consuming colloidal silver will turn your skin permanently blue. Really bad idea. I'm sorry your nurse is a loon, ita !.

ita, your nurse should get together with my "medicine is not science" nutritionist.
