And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

But I don't want to say geeky peeps. What could I say instead?

Nerds!

Sorry, not helpful.

Comfortable with working in an IT-heavy environment. Comfortable with technical jargon and....nerds.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have been productive as hell all morning and yet I haven't touched the stuff I had planned to accomplish today.

And I have an Excel query that is kicking my ass. Normally I can make MS Query do flips and for this one report it is just giving me the stupid look.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, looking at the view may be the thing I do first. I certainly do it pretty soon, even when the view is a parking lot or a wall (I have to look to find that out, after all).

I am hogging all the workday mojo, it seems. I have new tasks and I am plowing right through them, and my manager swung by to say she heard I was "rockin' over here". So that's good.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I like that one, Flea. Thanks!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Totally jealous of the Puerto Rico and Disney vacations, and vacations in general.

Anyone want to go to Bora Bora with me?

I was thinking more on the lines of rearranging the clauses, with the comfort bit being in the middle.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Bora Bora with me?

I do! I do! I imprinted early on Adventures in Paradise, with Gardner MacKay. "Schooner Tiki calling Papeete, come in, please!"

Well, one kid is home sick and zonked out, and the other has decided he wants to nap too. So I'm working from home in total silence! Quick, somebody give me an excuse not to tackle this horrible spreadsheet project from hell.
