Every nightmare I have that doesn't revolve around academic failure or public nudity is about that thing. In fact, once I dreamt that it attacked me while I was late for a test and naked.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

David's Tea.

Hm. The green room here is surprisingly devoid of tea. I probably should keep some in my desk.

Air is bumpy, yo!

Ha! Yep. I've only been a passenger but yeah, feeling the bumps is actually comforting to me. Kind of like I'd rather be on a rickety wooden ladder than a mechanical lift because I can tell what is happening when the ladder sways.

If I had a bucket list, hang-gliding would be on it. I'd really like to experience flight without motor noise. Not sky-diving though. That's just falling and I try to avoid that.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

My rule: Why jump out of a perfectly good plane?

Not a fan of turbulence, but I'm more comfortable with it than I was years ago. I do not like the sensation of the bottom dropping out of my stomach.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My rule: Why jump out of a perfectly good plane?

Because you're falling with style!

I only did skydiving once but it was thrilling.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I like planes of all shapes and sizes. Gotta get a ride in a B-17 one of these days.

Eta; Oh, and a blimp.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Was it here that people were talking about Ainsley from West Wing/chick who was on CSI Miami? Man, her face. Not good.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I brewed the sencha but could not drink it. I will have to try that again when I feel better. White tea is more my current speed.

That's kind of cute

Pink. Stroller. You can't half it. You have to take all the twee.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Emmett came out of his bedroom after homework.

Me: "Did you crush your math homework?"
Emmett: "Conic sections are my bitch."

Now he's taking an ice bath to take care of his precious catcher's knees. He's got back to back games tomorrow and Friday. There's a Saturday morning game too but he's going to be taking the SATs.

Oooh, David's Tea has a Chicago location!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I covered air shows for several years in my youth, and the air show director's idea of fun was to put the girl reporter into the scariest possible aircraft. I once rode in, or perhaps on, an experimental aircraft called the Breezy, which looked a good deal like a flying tandem bike. I was mainly afraid my glasses were going to fall off. I did get to ride in a balloon once, though. That was wonderful.

I rode in a Piper Cub as part of an article on aerial surveying, and it was the only airplane ride that made me seriously queasy.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

How was the landing?
