Oh, but my fucking contractor might not count this. FUCKERS. So I'm 'working' from home now.

WaPo has an amusing article up today about how snow is the worst for forecasters because there are so many factors that go into how many inches a snowfall is AND people can go out and measure for themselves and then tsk tsk about how wrong the weatherpeople always are:
Just spitting cold rain here. I should be grateful I suppose.
NYC's not supposed to get any rain until later this afternoon (i.e. exactly when I'll be leaving work to pick up the kids, JOY) but since it's going to stay in the 40s, I can't imagine we'll get any real accumulation, just a lot of dirty New York slush. Lousy Smarch weather.
IT'S RAINING. WE DON'T CLOSE FOR RAIN.WFT?
Heh.
Are they expect temps to drop and for everything to get icy?
Oof, Valerie Harper has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and has three months to live.
We have a snow day, although we've only got about an inch. North of here was supposed to get 4-6, though, and, for example, Dillo's teacher lives out that way.
Our office is closed, because a lot of folks live north of town. But I have stuff to work on at home. And I have a dentist appointment at 4:00, which is fortunately just a couple of blocks from my house. Maybe I'll walk up there.
We're just getting wind here. Our DC office is closed, though. I suspect I'll have to give up on the hope of seeing any notable snow here this winter. C'mon midwest job searches--find me something worth moving for!
I do not have it together today. I was at the park watching the dog romp in the snow and realized I hadn't even put her collar on before we left the house. Oops. How do people expect me to work when I can't even brain?
