Yesterday, I learned that there was some negative stuff going on around my office for about 4 months and I was blissfully unaware of it all. I can't convey how glad I am to have been ignorant; it would've made me physically ill if I knew about it at the time. (Nothing to do with me or my work, really, thank goodness.)

WaPo has an amusing article up today about how snow is the worst for forecasters because there are so many factors that go into how many inches a snowfall is AND people can go out and measure for themselves and then tsk tsk about how wrong the weatherpeople always are:
