Teppy, come back! We're not done with the scene yet!
Awesome, Suzi!
Very much less awesome, Consuela. I wish the perfect magical job would turn up for you. You deserve it.
To cheer ourselves up, let's look at awesome suffragist marchers in wonderful hats a century ago: [link]
I must say that muffs strike me as an extremely inefficient means of keeping your hands warm--they're only useful if you're not doing anything but walking/standing.
Or riding in a carriage.
I always associate them with carriage rides (yeah, I dunno) so they would work fine for that.

I had a roommate who had some vintage one's and they had pockets in them, so they also acted like a small purse.
Congrats, Suzi!
I don't see that a lady would be doing anything other than walking or riding in a carriage, so muffs seem perfectly practical....
Who with the what now, msbelle?
Thanks all. I'm pretty happy. I'm also pushing for a grade change. He said he would look into it.
msbelle, what?
Aw, Bonnie Franklin died. I used to love One Day at a Time. She was only 69.
Congrats, Suzi!
I associate muffs with riding in sleighs or sledges. Or ice skating, but I think that's from a specific illustration in a children's book. You'd already be wearing gloves, right? Because ladies always wore gloves?
