I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I mean, as far as I'm concerned, we go down there, we look at a bunch of houses, we buy one. I am not picky, and I have limited patience for contingencies.

Ahrg. My bank just send me a revised 1098 for my mortgage. Looking at it, they had just omitted my PMI annual payment, but the rest of the numbers were the same, and when I did my taxes, I got the PMI from another statement. So I think I am good. But I knew the form was different from last. Besides, the IRS already gave me my money back...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ita ! In the U.S. aren't these called white sweet potatoes?

I am the last person to be able to answer that question. I know that's not what they were called in the store, and they also weren't called Bonita, which is the name I was looking out for (they match the images of Bonita on the web, but if the store's not calling them that, it's a little more difficult to ask for them by name).

sara - keep the document with your other tax documents. If they decide to send a letter, you just need to show that you used the proper numbers. It shouldn't be an issue.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am guessing that sweet potatoes in the US are wildly mislabled much of the time.

In other news...I'm conspiring with a couple of my work PMs to get the company to fly me out to the bay area for a few days in mid-March. I already have one gal, who isn't the decision maker, offering up budget.

Oh, I save paper copies of all my taxes and all associated paperwork (even the postits that detail where to look online for donation info.) Which reminds me, need to email this year's to work to print out.

Devi's head-tilt is getting more pronounced. But she can still breathe. Tumor or polyp, nothing to do but wait until it's time. Hopefully, this is a slow growth. And it goes from not-bad to enough decisively.

Is there like an avocado CSA program where I can buy a timeshare in someone's Southern California backyard and they send me avocados?

This could be me! It's not my avocado tree, but our neighbors and there are So Many Avos in my side yard that it's a bit disconcerting. But they taste better than the ones in our old yard. As do our lemons, our oranges and now we have pears and figs and cheremoya and quince.

4 cop cars and 8 cops conferencing at the end of my alley on Ellerslie. One waved at me. Couldn't tell if it was the one that stopped me last week. Curious.
