Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

I put out my bulk crap for bulk pickup tomorrow morning, and now people keep stopping in front of my house to dig through it. I'm afraid it's all going to scattered all over the sidewalk by the morning.

Thrive to spite them

Glad the Prince concert was fun!

I have a couch. It is an ugly couch and I have a twinge of "what if I made a bad choice" but I just traded an essentially free item for another free item so it's not that bad.

I just have to rearrange furniture. And figure out where to put my stacks of books (I really need a full size bookcase).

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

FreeCycle! It's like virtually rummaging through a Goodwill where everything's free.

I realize that sara, but I thought I could sneak him in during a weak moment.

I am NOT looking forward to tomorrow because of Grace's soccer party. This party at the end of the season stuff is crap (as is the weekly rotation of snacks)! I miss the no snacks/no party policy of my gymnastics team.

Freecyle hasn't helped me out, people keeping wanting bookcases. And I don't have a car that can haul a full size bookcase. My next car is going to be something where I haul things.

in during a weak moment.

Oh, you have no idea how weak at this point. My friend Matt hugged me during working hours and I might've promised him babysitting till his soon firstborn is 18 or to run off with him. Right now, I alternate between resolved and stoic and a wet kleenex. Only 2 people at work saw me lose it, officemate (but he didn't realize it, was on the phone as I was giving a great gasping sob on the phone with the vet) and a friend who I totally dissed because if I got her sympathy, I wouldn't have been safe to drive.

I can put on a good front. Until I can't. I'm riding that edge.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Allyson is pretty and a damn good writer.

I had no idea we'd been name checked in a webcomic, I'm glad it was a long time ago.

I want the Malvin tee.

Someone told me they thought I was 32 today, which made me laugh and a little pleased, but someone else asked me if I gained weight over Thanksgiving (the gym starts next week, the goal is down 20-30 lbs in a year).

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

So we just got back from the late hours vet. Not emergency, more like urgent care for dogs. The verdict is that the Biscuit has injured a muscle in his leg, maybe a minor tear. But it's not hip dysplasia and it's not a torn ACL, which is what the vet really thought. So, best of the possibles. We're still not sure how it happened, but we have anti-inflammatories and pain meds and a very drunk doggie now.

Yay for it being nothing more severe.

The wind has picked up and I am too tired to go to bed. That's a bad sign, isn't it?

The status is NOT quo.

Poor Biscuit!

Holy CRAP are the Santa Ana winds howling right now. Doors and windows shaking in their frames and blowing open and closed.
