Oh my god. What can it be? We're all doomed! Who's flying this thing!? Oh right, that would be me. Back to work.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The main business unit I work with has an in joke about my department. They say working with us is like living in an Ikea ad, because our web developers use so many tables. Yes, that's more geeky than funny. No, they shouldn't be telling me how they laugh at my teammates. But IO9 just linked to an ad about living inside an IKEA-like catalogue and all I can think is "I should send it to them, it's an in joke" and "No, I don't do in jokes with co-workers" battling each other. Then I watch it and they say fuck, so I feel okay not sharing it, even though the business unit does swear in front of me.

Then again, I was in the cafe yesterday, trying to order a smoothie, which I hadn't for months, and I couldn't remember what I liked. I said so out loud and the cashier said "Strawberry Twist" with complete assurance. I explained I disliked having a usual because then people knew what I wanted to have, and she kinda looked at me like I was weird and then assured me there were other people more usual than me.

It's like strange people are relating to me. It's icky.

No hugging, though!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Sara, so sorry about Mr. Kitty. He's been a Buffista for as long as I remember...I am on drugs for a cold.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

No hugging, though!

Except with me, though, right?

Jesse, honey, I will rub up on you, never fear.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I like having a usual (32 ounce tropical passion iced tea with extra ice at two different coffee beans) because it's nice to be remembered.

Aw, Noah indeed. He's a funny little guy. He's staying overnight at Lori's tonight because originally I thought I'd be at the hospital tonight. But he wanted to stay.

Grace, FTR, is princess of the PTU at the hospital. She got nurse after nurse to stop in and play with her. As they walk by, she waves then blows kisses. She kills me.

Thank goodness I can rely on something in this world.

it's nice to be remembered

I don't mind (okay, sometimes I hate) being remembered. I truly dislike being predicted by people I don't know, though. This cafe and the accompanying restaurant are really careful about never assuming what I'm ordering until I open my mouth, but once I do, they treat me like it's extra special that I choose it (extra ketchup with my garlic fries, free brownie cupcakes on the last day they have them in, or they put them aside for me). Fine line. They walk it very well.
