S says ON jeans shrink about 1/8" when washed, so they should be perfect. And they're not loose, loose; just comfortable. Not like "I can fit into size 12's if I don't eat or move or breathe" -- I just...fit.
Perfect!

Erin, let me recommend never buying jeans that are at all loose, unless you really want them that way, because they always loosen up as you wear them. Just saying.
Hah--except currently most of my jeans get too big during the day while I'm wearing them, so I bought a pair that were slightly too tight and...they don't loosen at all. Ouch.
Also, I didn't get any real work done today, and want to hide under a rock somewhere. And don't want to fly to Phoenix tomorrow.
(ETA: Which is to say "Grump grump grump whine and grump all about me". Sorry. In such a mood right now...)
sarameg, I am so sorry about Mister Kitty. You gave him a good life.

Ouch indeed! Grumpy is OK.
In good news, I did (after sending a somewhat belated "oh, crap, I should do this!" email thank-you) get an email requesting available dates for an in-person interview. I'm a little "ack", as I'm pretty busy and out of town a lot the next couple weeks, but I offered a couple days.
Of course, then I'd REALLY have to get all my work done, if I was leaving. Eek.
Sarameg, I'm so sorry for your loss.
(more later when not on phone)
I got all the real work done today. Sorry if that sucked achievement away from anyone else. But I'm going to let myself collapse way earlier today, and not make another yesterday mistake.
But few serious problems have turned up over years of vaccinations, and several studies have shown no link between vaccines and autism, a theory from the 1990s that has been widely discredited.
I get why reporters feel they have to mention autism in articles like this, but I really wish they'd stop Anyone who already has an opinion isn't going to change it based on this article, and anyone who doesn't is just going to remember this sentence a few weeks from now as "oh yeah, vaccines and autism, didn't I read something in the Washington Post about that?"
(And anyway, the hard core antivax activists have moved on from autism and are currently focusing on "OMGWTFTOXINS")
Jesse,
do you not like hugs?
So my 4 year old neighbor G just adored Mister Kitty, and was very sad to hear he was gone. So she made me a card, with me, her, her mom and Mister Kitty in it: [link]
Oh sweetheart!
