A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My weekend was a NERDFEST. Go look in the Supernatural thread for links (recent.)

Mister Kitty's gone. Purred in my lap up until the end. All the techs and vets cried.

It wasn't the diabetes. I'm disconcertingly happy about that. We beat that shit, damnit, for well over 8 years. And we were still beating it. Probably kidney failure and/or cancer given the way it presented, but really no point in figuring that out given his age.

Anyway, I knew this was the likeliest outcome.

He'll be missed: elvis-sneer, pre-nap echolocation, dirty old man tendencies, headbutts, horrible litterbox habits, old-man face and quite frankly, the most unflappable, accepting, affectionate cat I've ever known.

Time to cold compress my whole damned head and hole up and have a pity party for a bit.

Oh, I'm sorry, sarameg. But I'm glad he was purring all the way. He got a good life.
