sara, is MK's appointment this morning or tomorrow? I am thinking of you both.

Much surgery~ma for Grace, and coping~ma to Kat and K.

No insomnia but I'm just mildly sleep deprived. Ack! I can't handle it. How did I cope with it for years on end?
Surgery-ma to Grace, and just general -ma for Mister Kitty.
My sister's Saint Bernard couldn't get up yesterday morning, so she's taking him to the neurologist today. He's 8 1/2, which is elderly, but still pretty healthy & happy. I'm hoping this isn't the end. Aside from the drooling and the waking-me-up-at-2-AM-when-I-dogsit, he's a great dog. Mellow and affectionate most of the time. And when you rub his ears he makes the best moaning sound.
My employers (not the agency, but the contracting firm) apparently celebrate birthdays by sending you a cheap fleece jacket. Woot?
Cleaning up papers home from school, I came across the food bank one. Which gave parents some "suggestive good items" to donate. Yeah.
May Grace's surgery go well.
And just love to sarameg and MK.
To add to the cat woe clan, Mo (age about 14/15 or so) has an eye infection (well, technically, an infection behind one eye that's pushing it forward) that may wind up needing to get drained. She's been on antibiotics for almost a week now, and the swelling's still there. Of course, it was a holiday weekend, so we couldn't get her in to see anyone over it, and then yesterday, her vet was out, so we couldn't get the refer we needed.
Poor old girl.
Eu Clair is soooo close. Close enough to drive over there and ask WTF?
Do it! Take pictures!
I am sort of caught up. At my mother's, I can read but if I try to do something like type, I am accused of spending "all the time" on the computer. This is apparently rude. Telling the same stories about why other people suck over and over is apparently not. It all turns my brain to mush.
Best wishes to all the old cats. May they live pain-free lives until they slip away to a land of catnip and slow mice.
My nerdiest thing over the weekend was probably fixing things on my sister's computer, but that comes more under the category of emergency surgery. Her e-mail client hadn't been working since May. She doesn't seem to have noticed. I do increase the nerd factor by 11 by walking into the house.
